Before working with Laura, we had met with another well-known kitchen design company, but their design felt basic and left us feeling uninspired, which made us appreciate Laura’s creativity and attention to detail even more.
Laura’s ideas and design vision for the kitchen were simply beautiful. She also gave us great ideas for future seating in the dining room and how we could better use that space, which we hadn’t even considered. She managed to bring everything together in a way that not only looks stunning but works perfectly for our family. One thing that really stood out was how Laura was able to source the exact stone we wanted for the worktop just from a photo we showed her of someone else’s kitchen —something we didn’t think would be possible!
The whole process felt seamless from start to finish—from the initial design through to ordering the kitchen and delivery. She was incredibly hands-on throughout, with regular site visits and consistent communication with our joiner to ensure everything was fitted perfectly.
Now we have a kitchen that is both functional and visually amazing. Every detail feels considered, and it always gets so many compliments from anyone visiting my home. “Laura was much, much more than our kitchen designer, she was and remains a truly creative confidant in terms of the design and renovation of our family home. She took considerable time and effort to truly understand us as a family, how we did live and also wanted to live our lives within our home and what we ultimately desired from a kitchen and utility area, whilst being sympathetic to the original art deco features and design.
We approached various kitchen providers and whilst they all provided a good service and a good product, EW Design differentiated themselves from the other design companies by an innovative and can-do approach to what could be achieved within our home by truly listening to us as a family and truly understanding our wants, needs and desires.
Laura designed not just the kitchen but also gave input to our builder who then remodeled the ceiling, which was transformational to the project!
EW Design had a strong, professional, project management approach to our new kitchen and liaised with all the various trades we had involved in our house renovation, which created a seamless approach to what we wanted to achieve in our home.
Laura obviously has a strong background in design but also with suppliers and 3rd parties. Any ideas we had of products and materials to be used in our kitchen were all met as Laura had the ability to use any identified solutions where other kitchen providers seemed to have limited flexibility in terms of suppliers.
One of her most impressive professional qualities was Laura's ability to disagree with us in a 'what is best for the client' approach. Good advice can sometimes mean just disagreeing and saying no, and that honesty of approach saved so much time, effort and money. We very much appreciated this well-meaning approach from Laura, she is a professional designer and not a kitchen order taker.
I would highly recommend Laura to anybody, no matter your budget or project, as she really is a lovely, warm person with a huge talent for design and an extensive professional background in getting the job done right, first time.
